NOTE
- Il convegno "Selling and collecting: printed book sale catalogues and private libraries in early modern Europe", tenutosi a Cagliari nel settembre 2017, ha costituito l'occasione per presentare a livello internazionale alcuni tra i più rilevanti progetti e ricerche inerenti le modalità di vendita e acquisto, di collezione e circolazione del libro nel corso del XVI secolo. L'articolo espone brevemente le tematiche maggiormente rilevanti del convegno, riconducibili a due grandi ambiti: il commercio librario, indagato nei suoi aspetti più prettamente economici, e il collezionismo privato, inteso sia come espressione degli interessi culturali dell'epoca sia come elemento indicativo degli intensi rapporti tra acquirenti e venditori. - The international conference Selling and collecting: printed book sale catalogues and private libraries in early modern Europe, that it took place in Cagliari in September 2017, introduced to some greater projects and researches about book sale, purchase, collection and circulation during the 16th century. The essay presents the most important topics of the conference, identifying in two areas: the commercial book trade, with its essentially economic features, and the private collecting both as expression of cultural interest at the time and as characteristic element of strong relationships between customers and sellers.
