    NOTE

    • Includes bibliographical references and index.
[Testo dell'editore]
    • The present collection reflects a call launched within the Department of Law of the University of Genoa in 2020 on the problem of gambling and betting, social phenomenon dating back to the past, but which has now assumed new features due to its significant spread. As a consequence, it is necessary to focus on this phenomenon from a legal point of view. The results of this research reveal a multifaceted scenario, to be read through the lenses not only of different perspectives of investigation in general, but also, within the solo legal perspective, with an extremely broad number of reflections.
    • We then proceeded from the necessary historical-legal premises on the same concept of hazard on to an analysis of multidisciplinary positive law aimed at illustrating the attitude, not without contradictions, of the legislator in an attempt to regulate a phenomenon that, also due to the wellknown potential of the Network, has taken on transnational dimensions.
