- The objective of this continuing research is a descriptive and comparative examination of the legal, legislative and administrative, the central and peripheral government institutes of the Spanish Imperial State in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries: the King, the Council of the Indies, the Viceroy and the Mexico's Real Audiencia. By thought and practice of government, this paper attempts to clarify the difficult balance between political forces in the Old Hispanic Regime. [Publisher's text].
